I posted in my personal journal in more detail But thanks for all the suggestions. The lesson today went great. The older boys loved playing "red light, green light, blue light." :)
Ok here's a challenge for you: One of the students in one class has been taught to lay on the horse's neck every time he is told to half seat. Any suggestions for correcting this? I mean I will obviously try to stick to telling the rider to "Stand up" instead. He understand posting walk but for some reason he thinks "half seat" involves leaning forward and literally laying on the horse's neck. His previous instructor had the same problem and she worked all last semester to try to "fix" it or at least keep him from laying on the horse.
