Inspired by a question on 4chan.
If you were in the world of Pokemon, what would you be? Most people want to be trainers, but what about after that? Researcher? Professor? Gym Leader? What would you pick?
After my journey and maybe beating the Elite 4, I'd become a Normal-type gym leader. Maybe fifth or sixth badge area.
My gym would have five zones inside before you get to me. Dark, Water, Flying, Grass, and Electric. There would be five Pokemon on my team. A Stoutland named Ivan, a Furret named Curious, a Noctowl named Gregory, a Sawsbuck named Reed, and a Porygon-Z named Kernel.
The different type zones would represent movepools. Dark for Crunch, water for Surf, Electric for Discharge, Grass for Energy Ball, and Psychic for Hypnosis/Dream Eater. My Noctowl would be my strongest Pokemon, and would have Dream Eater long before it could get it by levelling up, and Dream Eater would be the TM I handed out.
I would've come from Johto, where I'd gotten a Noctowl and Furret as Hoothoot and Sentret respectively, and the two I use in the gym are their offspring. I'd make them scale back for gym battles, though, since we wouldn't be there to squish the hopefuls.
My full team, outside the gym, would have my original Noctowl named Archie and my original Furret named Ring, a Gyarados named Steve, an Ampharos named Lily, a Steelix named Monolith, and an Alakazam named Michael. I also have a small collection of cat pokemon - Skittys, Delcattys, Persians, Glameows, Puruglys, and so forth, just because I think they're adorable, but they're pets instead of battlers.
And that is my geekitude for the day.
