More creepy story.

While I was in school, the only real time I got to spend with my mom was on the weekends. Every Saturday, we'd go to the next large town north of us, maybe watch a movie, go shopping, go out to eat, and generally just hang out. We were always really good friends, my mom and me. On Sundays, though, I usually had the house to myself after a point - after I stopped going to church. So I'd be alone of the mornings, and I'd have time to relax.

One Sunday, after everyone had gone, I was slowly waking up and getting out of bed when I heard someone laughing. I didn't think much of it at the time. It just sounded like two little girls laughing in our living room, and pretty quietly at that. I figured that Granny had come home early from church and that she had my two little cousins in the living room, telling them to be quiet so I could keep sleeping.

As I came out of my room, though, the laughing went silent and I could see that the living room was empty. I went to look to see if maybe the girls were outside, but nobody was there. ANd when I looked the other way, I could see that all of the cars were gone.

I was literally home alone.

It made me think I'd just heard things, so I brushed it off and got started getting the kitchen ready for Sunday lunch and I didn't even think about the whole thing for the rest of the week until Saturday.

Mom and I were getting ready to go. In fact, we were on our way out the door, saying goodbye to my grandmother and grandfather who were sitting there in the living room, when the whole room went silent. I had a feeling, and I looked toward the corner of the room where I'd heard the laughter. Granny looked troubled and said, "Do you hear that? It sounds like some kids laughing."

"You hear it too?" I asked without thinking, disbelieving.

She looked at me with wide eyes but said nothing, and Mom pulled me out to the car.

Granny hasn't mentioned the incident since.
