Spring cleaning
I have been neglecting my bedroom's messiness since the beginning of April. In April I was working on my work term report, and once I finished that I didn't feel like cleaning. From May to mid-August I was at UW, and for the remainder of August I was a camp counsellor in the States. And over the past four months, I've been balancing work, distance ed, work term report, church, and visiting friends on the weekend.
So tonight, I took the first step towards cleaning my room. Among my findings on the floor:
-Passport.
-Bank statements and old receipts from November.
-The official UW Bookstore Agenda that I meant to start using in September.
-Bibles that I haven't used in awhile (I mainly just use one Bible right now).
-Walksafe keychain.
-T-shirt, shorts, and sweatshirt leftover from the WCF Executive retreat in November.
-SPUC phone list from F02.
-RS 100E course notes.
-April and August issues of CCM Magazine (CCM = Contemporary Christian Music).
-Three blue hangers.
-A llama. No, not really.
-A set of drumsticks. Yes, I have a set of drumsticks even though I don't own a drumset.
-Six orders of service from church.
-Course guide for UW froshies.
-Package of lead for my mechanical pencil.
-The "Info" university guides from `00-01 and `01-02
-Kids Choir music. Our most recent practice was Tuesday, so it makes me wonder how it got to the bottom of the pile in just three days.
-My calculator.
I'm estimating that the clean-up will take about a week to complete (at 6 hours/day). I'm also looking to go through my old binders from OAC and first year and see what I can get rid of. Finally, I want to dust and vacuum this room (considering that I'm allergic to dust, I probably should have done this earlier).
However, I am proud to say one thing: I have yet to find anything nerdy yet. No "Dune", no fantasy novels, no Monty Python, no pocket protectors. I'm still not a hardcore nerd yet. I guess that I'll have to buy some of those things in order to be considered a true CSer.
