Baby hates carrier....

I have a 5 week old daughter and, before I had her, was so excited about wearing her everywhere. I tried out friends' carriers and decided that I liked the mei tai. I've also inherited a baby biorn and didymos from friends. My problem is that my baby absolutely hates being worn. She used to sleep in my Babyhawk Mei Tai when she was a newborn. Now that she's awake more during the day, she absolutely refuses to be worn in any carrier. I've tried the cradle holds with the Didymos because I thought she just didn't like the kangaroo style hold of the other carriers, but she hated that, too. I try her in the Babyhawk and Didymos at least once a day to see if she has changed her mind, but she screams and fights just as much each time I try.
My question is, how do I get my baby to allow me to wear her? Is she just too young to be comfortable? Is there a different carrier that I should try with her?
