BB Slen

We recently purchased a BB Slen and I would like to wash it.. it says lay flat to dry.  Given that we got the largest size, what would happen if I dried it in the dryer? Would it become softer? Would I lose a ton of size? Am I insane to even contemplate doing this?  Thanks!
