I told Stef this one would be up the day after it happened...but I was lazy...so here it is.
Another FANTASTIC T story and this one, my friends, has witnesses....I prolly won't do this story justice as you REALLY had to be there to get the full affect but I will try...
So, Wednesday night Stef, Sanam, Sara, Sara's friend Liz, Lil, Amar, George, and myself went in to Boston to take part in Restaurant Week where we ate WICKED good food at this place called Taranta in the North End for $30.06 a person. Good deal, good food, good company. :) Anyway, after dinner we all took off to go home as some of us had to wake up real early for work (poor George, I still feel bad u had to get up at 4). So...Sanam, Sara, Liz, Stef and I head for the D line to take us back out to Riverside. Simple enough. We get on and Sara sits next to me, Liz and Stef are together and Sanam gets the lucky single seat. So here we are, 5 good looking girls all dressed up and minding our own business and enjoying the sights and sounds of the Riverside train. Cool. So, train stops, per usual when people want to enter and exit the train, and this man comes on and heads over to where we are sitting. This man is a bit...ooooh...scraggly looking. In one hand he is carrying two plastic bags and in the other hand there is another bag but it is ooooozing liquid. He places said bag on the train floor right next to Liz. Sara and I were the only ones at this point to be tuned into Mr. Wetbag. We found this odd but we went on ignoring the guy.
But he was not to be ignored. So, Wetbag comes over to where we are sitting and he stands next to Liz. He starts singing. Not good singing either. And it wasnt a real song. Mr. Wetbag was singing about riding the T on a Wednesday night with five pretty girls next to him. Sara and I put our heads down and started to laugh. We thought we were the only ones who were listening to this fool, who through his song identified himself as Michael. We were mistaken...so the song goes on about some girl breaking his heart (we are presuming he is talking about Liz) and how this is sad. Sara and I are dying but we have NO idea if Stef, Liz, or Sanam are being phased by this as we do not dare lift our heads. That is until Michael sings something about his "ding dong". At this point, I don't care and I look up to find Sanam and Stef in hysterics and poor Liz being seranaded by this crazy. In addition, the two boys on the other side of Michael think this is a riot. (It was.) So anyway...Michael I think sensed we weren't feeling his song so much and he decided to move. But not that far away.
Michael Wetbag sat right behind Sara and myself. He then proceeded to whistle like a train right behind Sara's head. He was fairly quiet for the next couple of stops and then when it was his turn to get off, he started to sing his goodbyes to us. Sweet. He got off and we all just erupted in laughter--included the two guys who also witnessed the crazy man. We thought we had parted ways with Michael but we hadn't. As we are laughing, he is waving to us from the outside of the train. He is finally out of sight...but oh no, he comes back to knock on the window to blow kisses.
Why is the T crazy? :)
