One Wedding and the Bubonic Plague!

Before I get into complainy mode, let me take a moment to congratulate our cousins Nikki and PJ on the beginning of what will definately be a long and happy marriage! They were married this past Saturday, May 28th in New Jersey. I truly can't say enough how stunning Nikki was... probably the prettiest and happiest bride I've had the honor of watching walk down the aisle. They had a full Catholic mass at PJ's family church (which was gorgeous) and a seriously hoppin' reception at the West Trenton Ball Room. Hats off to the entire Tucker and Valenza family on their planning. Everything was great and I'm so glad we went up for it! Wouldn't have missed it for the world. So, again, congratulations to you both and best wishes. We love you very very much!

Right as the ceremony was starting the baby got super sick. It's not been fun since then...

Dear gawd make the sicknesses stop!

Ah, the joys of family life. One person gets sick and suddenly this whole terrible ball-of-the-black-death gets set in motion and everyone's sick for.freakin'.ever. I took the baby to the pediatrician yesterday and she says he has a "severe viral stomach infection" and then tells me there's nothing I can give him or do to make it better. We have to just wait it out. Meanwhile I've gotten what he has and then Mike's starting to get it now. The baby's really well hydrated, but I'm all dried up. lol Between feeling sick and nursing, I can't get enough water. Ugh! The poor kid also has two clogged tear ducts so his eyes are all yuckie and he's constantly rubbing them with his fists. The doc told me to massage his face, but he hates it when I do that. We've just been wiping his eyes with warm cloths and I'm hoping it will clear up soon. Unfortunately, all of this means I've already missed 2 days of work... and seeing as how badly I still feel (and how insanely exhausted I am) and how VERY sick the baby still is, I'm thinking I'm looking at another day home at least. I hate taking time off from work so much. There's a lot to do and I always feel like people there will think I'm not dedicated to my position or the bank when in truth I couldn't be more dedicated. (I LOVE IT THERE!) Plus, hi, being at work means my family is healthy and who doesn't want that?

In happier news, the move to the townhouse has officially begun. We've started painting so we can move our furniture in and, let me just say, our house is the bomb! lol I'm not a big fan of plain white walls, and it's the only thing about the Parsonage that I wish I could change. I need color to feel comfortable and boy have we got color. They're all earthy tones (except the baby's room, which is a really sweet light blue) and they all match eachother as far as tone is concerned. Nothing so dark that the place looks like a cave, but nothing so light you can't tell what it is. Our kitchen is "Raffia Tan"... the fancy name for, well, tan. And the living room is going to be "Northern Green"... a real nifty shade of warm green that happens to match absolutely everything we own somehow. Then the bay window I painted "Sturdy Chair", which is a nice deep reddish-brown. The upstairs guest room is "Yellow Chiffon"... or yellow... whatever. The baby's room is "Early Morn" and will eventually get some kind of mural. Our bedroom is "Coos Bay" which is a really nice mossy green to go with our hydrangea stuff. The guest bath will be the yellow as will the half bath on the first floor. I'm looking at inexpensive blinds and curtains as I type! (I love Bed Bath & Beyond!)

Annnnyyyyyway, life is completely insane. All of our stuff is either all over the house or packed up in a box somewhere. We're all sick as can be. It's a lot of fun! :D

Hope you're all doing well! Enjoy this amazing weather.

Love,
Rebekah, Mike and Michael Benjamin
