A great deal of noise came from a cabin not far from the library. Spencer Reid was moving desks around at what was to be the new school. The Weasley twins had been so kind as to somehow produce a number of desks which looked exactly alike. Strange, he thought, but there was nothing about the woods that he would classify as ordinary. He had reluctantly come to accept this world for what it was.
Spencer paused, looking at the formation of rows. He was still unsure of how many students he'd have, and even more important than desks, he needed a curriculum. A bead of sweat dripped down his temple and he wiped it with the back of his palm. It was hot in these cabins, even with all of the windows and door open. Spencer had foregone his usual cardigan and wore only his button down shirt, which was still soaked through. He had never been so thankful to find his go-bag with another pair of clothes sitting under the large tree in the middle of the barracks. Now at least he had a clean cardigan, one that he could try to keep nice if necessary.
The past few weeks had been a bit hazy, like something out of a dream. Spencer knew something had happened, but his usually perfect memory was failing him. It was an earlier time and he worked at a police station... but not as an officer. He also remembered finding JJ intoxicated on the street one night and her asking to dance with him. It couldn't have been real though. Just a figment or the fae playing with him.
With a sigh and a hand through his sweaty hair, Spencer continued to estimate measurements of the room. He needed someplace to put a blackboard.
