The more baffling a mystery was, the more interested Conan became. But this was just too baffling. He could remember all those weeks of believing he was somebody else. How had that happened? Had it been a dream? Reality? And if it was reality, how much did Neal
remember of that confrontation? He kept turning all of these questions over and over through his mind. As he thinks, the boy starts to kick a small ball up against the wall of the barracks.
Takato is happily examining the bag of bread from his parent's bakery that just appeared at the wishing tree. This was the best day ever. He could hardly wait to show Guilmon. And maybe some other people would like to try some too!
Danny is perched on the Wall and staring grumpily at the tube of green lipstick in his hand. Seriously? The Fenton Utiiity Weapon? Why had this turned up here? He just hoped no one had seen him remove it from the tree. Okay, so it was a pretty decent weapon. And he couldn't deny that having something he could use as a human was helpful. But did it have to be something that was so embarrassing to use?
Patience was the task of an Old One. Will knew this. To act at the wrong time could be worse than not acting at all. But the truth was, that sometimes nothing could change without action. And here, in this place, he could not feel the guidance of the Light. He had been left to act alone, as he had not been since the first days of his awakening. There was no one here he could seek out to ask advice. And so today, a month after regaining his identity, he was striding purposefully into the Woods in search of answers.
