On the night of the Carnival, Harry Dresden can be found leaning against the wall just inside the barracks gate, arms folded over his chest, occasionally glancing off toward the woods in annoyance at the faerie music and the occasional bright laughter drifting down the brightly lit path. He'd like to think that no one would fall for that sort of thing after the past few months, but... well, humans tend to be stupid and way too optimistic, and the fae know that as well as he does.

Anyone trying to leave the barracks to head to the Carnival tonight just might find themselves cornered by a cranky wizard asking to know what the hell is wrong with them. No, really. He wants to know.
