Had a lot of fun with Jeff and then Kasey the other night.
I miss being able to drive with my windows down and my sunroof open and my music going...nice weather come baaaaack. Oh and at Bard I will have no car and no nice weather. Can't wait...
My parents keep mentioning at innopportune times how much I'm going to miss them, or how can I leave or am I realizing how far away Bard is? I can't handle this until August...my mom teared up tonight when we discussed sad songs like "Wide Open Spaces" and this Suzy Bogus song about a girl leaving her mom the day she packs up for college...Jesus I never expected for this kind of atmosphere to be enveloping my life so early...at least another 2 months of normal life...but no.
I'm up too late but I slept all day long practically, so I'm not tired yet. Worked a little in my sketchbook and have thus realized my potential as an artist has been reached. Improvement is impossible, and that's highly depressing.
I plan on getting in to Photography before I go to Bard...After I realized I knew nothing about Herb Ritts even though he was apparently a Bard alum and was featured in "the Bardian", I found out he died last year, and Vogue had a featured artist section devoted to his memory. I've seen his work, and now I feel bad I didn't know who he was until he was dead.
So...have new canvases. I'm going to get something finished before ISAS if it's the last thing I do, okay I'll do my English paper too. Damn AP tests, DAMN YOU. That prep test tonight, this multiple choice section from the 1994 test, was awful. I thought I was doing fine and it was easy until about the third one...and...I realized I probably missed every single one. Either damn the AP test, or damn my self-doubt.
Very happy with my Vintage Stock sale purchases. Damn Jeff kept my Fiona cd though, and I talked to him today and he laughed and said if I'd have gotten out of bed and come to church he would've given it back. Ugh...yeah well it was rainy and...warm in my bed. Oops?
