Episode 10.5 Plus Harlequin!
Welcome back!! I know it’s been a while. It’s been a tough few week for me school and life wise. But hey, it happens to the best of us!! Just know that I’m back and I’m totally ready to make this episode happen!! I had gotten Sims 3 pets when it came out last month and it is so fun! I wanted to add a pet to The Longs family so I made a poll and made some animals using the create a pet demo… Whattayaknow? The Harlequin Great Dane won!! I made it a girl because I wanted to have puppies at least once in this game… We will see if that happens for The Longs Family’s newest member later…
So last time we saw Zeke grow as a toddler and learn some skills, we learned Starfire wasn’t going to be the only girl in the heiress poll because we welcomed Moonbeam to the family. We also saw Starfire growing as a child, she was off to school, the land of math and friends! Let’s see what this episode has in store for us other than the family getting a dog shall we?
Zeke and Moonbeam loved to play together and did so often!
Moonbeam: “Wach! Blook!”
Zeke: “OOOO Music!”
Starfire was working on a science project for her girl scout badge. She worked hard on it, and got the badge eventually!
Starfire: “By Jove… Wait… Who’s Jove?”
Meanwhile, Winter was teaching Moonbeam to talk so she and Zeke could play together and actually understand each other!
Winter: “Can you day ‘Doctor’?”
Moonbeam: “Doccie? Doctie? DOCTOR!”
Winter: “OH! Yes, you’ve got it now!!”
Starfire was growing up fast and Gary wanted his little angel to be safe, especially around boys!
Gary: “So if a boy ever asks if he can carry your books for you, tell him you he has to let you carry his books for him.”
Starfire: “I don’t really follow ya, dad…”
Gary: “Oh, one day you will… Just keep your eyes open!”
So Starfire climbed to the top of her tree house and kept her eyes open… She didn’t see one boy carrying anyones books for anyone.
Starfire: “I know my dad is weird and all, but that had to be the weirdest thing he’s ever said to me!!”
It was already Winter’s birthday? Wow! Winter was becoming an adult!
Winter: “WOOOOOOO! Party in the USA!!”
Winter: “WHOA! This is different than birthday cake sparkles!!”
Winter: “Tell me the truth, do I look like an old lady yet?”
Gary smiled, “No, There’s no way you could ever look like an old lady yet… Still I’ll love you when you do!”
Winter: “Aww! You are too sweet Gary!”
The next morning Gary got Zeke out of bed and gave him hugs and kisses. Today was Zeke’s birthday and Gary was going to be in meetings all day. He’d much rather stay home with Zeke though.
Gary: “Oh son, when you grow up, never for get to keep playing around and goofing off…”
Zeke knew what “playing” meant and got right on it!!
Zeke: “I play blocks!!”
Starfire joined in this time…
Starfire: “Look, that is not a toothbrush so keep it out of your mouth…”
Zeke: “Toothbush?”
Starfire: “You know, like what the dentist gives you at the end of the visit…”
Zeke: “Oh, teeth cleaner!”
After Starfire went to school and Gary was off to work, Winter aged up her only son…
Winter: “Make a big wish, my big boy!!”
Birthday sparkles!!
I haven’t the slightest clue why Sims thinks Zeke needs to look like Junie from Spy Kids 1-3… Not a clue!
Zeke: “TA-DA!!!”
Zeke added Rebellious to his list of traits… I wonder how that will turn out…
In his room, Zeke’s Pal was also aging up!
Zeke and Pal spent the next hour chatting it up!
Pal: “I like Sea Foam Green because it’s light but still boyish!”
Zeke: “Cool! I like Spice Brown because it’s a real MAN’s colour!”
I just thought this was cute. The kids and their imaginary friends!
That night Starfire was going to get her last badge as a scout. It was a really big deal for her so she invited the whole family!
Starfire: “Come on guys! We can’t be late!!”
(Winter had called for a babysitter) The badge ceremony lasted a little longer than everyone had anticipated. Starfire and Zeke were very tired at the end of the night.
Starfire: “YAWN! That was fun but I’m tired!”
Zeke: “Can we go home yet?”
Winter: “Almost, I have something I need to pick up first…”
For Starfire’s excellence in scouts, Winter thought she might have enough responsibility to care for a dog.
Meet Harleqiun Longs. (Yeah I’m really original with the name there…)
Starfire got along with Harlequin very well. She wasn’t scared of her at all…
Starfire: “Hello Harlee! You’re a big dog!”
The only time Harlequin was ever scary… Don’t ya just hate when your dog becomes a disfigured freak for one second after going potty in the house?
For the most part though, Harlee was a great dog. She wasn’t house trained but she did have some great traits. She’s Non-destructive, Friendly, and super smart!
Gary was going to spend some time with his younger girl this morning. He was teaching her to walk!
Moonbeam: “Walkies?”
Gary: “Come on you’re doing great!! YAY!!”
While waiting on breakfast to cook, Winter took the time getting to know Harlequin.
Winter: “Get the piggy! Get it! OOOO! Who’s a good dog!!”
Harlequin: “BARK! BARK!”
After breakfast Winter played with Moonbeam
Winter: “No, you can’t eat that… It’s used to make music!”
Moonbeam: “Om nom nom nom!”
Harlequin laid down for a nap…
And Zeke was working on a potion to turn Pal real… He hasn’t quite got it yet though…
Pal: “Want some help?”
Zeke: “I don’t know that you could help… I don’t want you to catch on fire or anything!”
Harlequin was getting attention from everyone!
Gary: “Get it! OOOO Pull!! Strong doggy!!”
Harlee: “Grrr! Rrrr!”
Starfire played nicely with her dolls…
Starfire: “Can I carry your books? OH no, I have to carry YOUR books if you want to carry mine! What? Why? Because my dad is insane!”
And before we knew it, it was Moonbeam’s birthday!!
Winter: “Make a wish!”

Here’s Moonbeam! She gained the trait Neat when she aged up!
Comet aging up too!
Moonbeam: “I totally just had a birthday!!”
Comet: “COOL! Me too!”
Here’s Moonbeam’s outfit! She loves Purple!! Oh And when I installed Pets I removed my Mods folder and installed everything right, then I put the mods folder back. When I started playing all my toddler and child custom hairs were gone! The teen and up ones work though… No clue why that is…

Moonbeam couldn’t resist trying out her new pillows…
Moonbeam: “PILLOW FIGHT!!!!!”
After that and before bed, Moonbeam took Comet to the tree house.
Moonbeam: “You can see the whole town from up here!”
Comet: “Yeah this is really cool!”
Winter was painting Harlequin’s portrait when she noticed it was really quiet…
Winter: “It’s too quiet in here…”
Winter: “OH! NO! Bad Harlequin! Bad dog! We don’t go potty in the house! Oh Look at this mess! And look at you!! You are so dirty!! Come on! We are getting a bath done right now!!”
Harlee looks like she could jump out at any moment!
Winter: “Almost done Harlequin… Please don’t jump just yet…”
When she was all done with that, Harlee went outside to sniff around. She found a curious looking dog. He was a stray dog but Harlequin didn’t mind! She wanted to make friends!!
The kids had a field trip to the bistro!
Zeke: “Learning to make REAL French fries was AWESOME!”
Starfire: “Yeah! I can’t wait to show mom!!”
After school the kids came home with a friend. This is Dom McCormick. He goes to school with Zeke and Starfire.
Zeke: “Homework is no fun! I wish we got paid to do this!”
Dom: “Yeah! That’d be really great!”
After homework, Dom played catch with Starfire!
Dom: “Catch it!!”
Starfire: “Oh! I got it!!”
What? Another birthday! But Starfire had one more day! I swear she did!!
Starfire: “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Birthday Sparkles!!
Starfire: “Whatdaya think?”
Uh… That face is so ridiculous! I wish they made difference faces when they aged up!
Here she is! Starfire gained the trait Schmoozer so she could make more friends in High School! Oh our little family is growing up fast!! We’ll have to have an heiress poll soon!!
Yep! Starfire is her mother’s daughter!! Dreaming of death? Remember when Winter chatted it up with death after one of the family members died?
Moonbeam: “Daddy, can you read me a story?”
Gary: “Why of course my dear!”
Awwwww!! Moonbeam did this all on her own too. I was just gonna make her go to bed, but she wanted a bed time story!
Gary: “And at the top of the tower there was a princess. She was locked up there because her parents had sold her to an evil witch who forced the princess to spin straw into gold.”
Moonbeam: “Oh! That’s mean!”
Gary: “And when the knightly prince tore down the door, the princess stood there, shocked. ‘Why have you come?’ She asked. ‘Princess, I am here to rescue you!’ The knight prince called. He then picked her up and they ran down the tower steps. At the bottom of the tower, his noble steed stood waiting. The prince and the princess got on the horse and rode off into the sunset. They lived happily ever after.”
Moonbeam: “ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ”
Awww Moonbeam dreaming of Harlequin! She’s cute!
The stray dog returned and started sleeping in the outdoor dog house I got. I wonder if Harlee and this stray will be mates?

I know it’s been a while, and it may be even longer for the next one. The holidays are coming and I’ve got lots to do to get ready for them. I’ve also got to concentrate on my schooling. I hope you all understand though!
