Lana came back home a few days ago and still her best friend hadn’t come yet to her. She’d tried to get away from her parents long enough to be able to find him but to no avail. He just seemed to have disappeared.
She is now lying on her bed crying like a little girl. She may be eighteen soon, the loss of her little friend hurt really badly. Could it be that her parents were right, that she had just imagined her friend? That all the nights they shared, the comfort and the love were just in her head?
The first time she met him, she was crying in her bed, like tonight. Her mum was really ill and she feared for her life. The comfort has been priceless. But tonight, no melody came to her hears, no light to her eyes. Though, she just couldn’t let it go. A fairy wouldn’t die because of her!
“I do believe in Fairies, I do, I do…” she sang, slowly falling asleep.

- My heart nearly withered tonight, whispered her friend to her hear.
- I’m sorry I doubted you, Ollie, she answered.
- Don’t. Tomorrow is your birthday. You’ll turn eighteen. Our world won’t open his door to you ever again even if you’re a strong believer, whispered the fairy.
- Why? I don’t want to let you go. You’re my best friend! She is crying again.
- And you’ll always be mine, said the fairy, his hands now caressing the girl’s cheek.
Don’t cry, Lana, we have no choice here. I’ll never forget about you but before I go, the Fairies’ Queen told me I’ll be able to fulfill one of your wish.

It was morning. Lana felt like she didn’t sleep at all. She had cried the whole night and knew that his 18th birthday will be the worst one ever. That was until she opened her eyes and found a gorgeous blond man lying in her bed.
She cried and the man opened his eyes.
- What’s wrong, Lana? He asked, his beautiful hazelnut eyes looking at her warmly.
She was now gasping. Was it possible?
She slowly, tentatively, brushed the man’s cheek, finding some fairy’s dust on his skin.
- Ollie? She whispered, barely able to breathe.
The man gently took his hand and kissed it.
- I hope you don’t regret your wish. Isn’t that what you wish for?
Lana threw herself in the man’s arms, his fairy, his Ollie, crying like a baby.
When her mum opened the door and found her in the arms of her very naked and older man, she knew she would have a lot to talk about and probably be grounded for life, but she didn’t care right now because the Fairies’ Queen gave her the most beautiful present, her ever happily after.
