Merlin!

So!
I have found courage to watch Merlin again probably thanks to Katie's words and thanks to my friends mrs_leary and souzoukyuketsuu.
It feels good to have so wonderful people to talk to. mrs_leary and I didn't feel the same watching the fourth first episodes but it is always good to hear different opinions, now souzoukyuketsuu and I definitely did feel the same and it felt good to to see that I wasn't the only one to be displeased about "some" things.
*hugs both tight*

Now...
I was rather happy with the last new episodes. It felt like I had MY Merlin back, the same wonderful show I discovered in season 1 and it felt pretty good.
I can't forget my huge disappointment towards the first fourt episodes and will have to deal with it but I did enjoyed watching Merlin again.

Episodes 5, 6 and 7 were really nice and interesting and I did laugh a lot, now here I am to talk a little about episode 8. One of the best one for me for a lot of reasons. And, sure, Bradley being a wonderful actor is definitely one of the reason. But once again I feel completely outside the "squee" of the fandom because, as always it seems, I didn't understand the same things as others people did and I didn't feel the same xD
Hey! You, Mordred's fangirl, why are you asking questions again? You do know you're weird and never catch the same things as other people do or you wouldn't be a Mordred's fan in the first place xD

Some spoilers over there and a poll I would like my Merlin's friends to answer, pretty please!^^

Poll About Ygraine and Uther

Okay... So, now, my opinion.

1/ I do really think that Morgause did trick Arthur and that he actually never saw his mother. Sad but true for me. I'm not sure any powerful Warlock and Enchantress can actually open "that" door and even then I'm sure Ygraine wouldn't have talk so badly of her husband to Arthur. Now, perhaps, that when dying Ygraine understood she had to die in order Arthur to live because of magic but I really doubt it. In the first place we don't even know if Ygraine perhaps agreed herself to ask Nimueh for her help. Regarding the myth Guenivere is the one being bare and Arthur keeping her whatever, so I really think Ygraine was the one not being able to have children and Uther, loving her, refused to repudiate her.
How Morgause could have known all of that? Didn't Gaius said that he enthrust baby Morgause to the care of the High Priestess, so Nimueh. Nimueh having learnt everything about magic to Morgause could have tell her the truth about Arthur's birth. Morgause being a woman, a woman who lost all of her family would have known what words to use to have Arthur broken.

2/ For me, Uther is undirectly responsible for Ygraine's death.
I don't know if he was the one to decide to ask Nimueh for her help in the first place but he did and then according to the Old Religion there is some price to be paid to create a life. So Ygraine died when Arthur took his first breath.
Now, I really am sure that Uther didn't know that Ygraine would be the one to pay that price, perhaps that he even thought that he would be the one to die. Who knows? Merlin offered his life to Nimueh to safe Gaius but it was his mother who nearly died.
When Arthur asked Uther to swear he isn't lying, Uther answered "I swear on my life, I loved your mother. There isn't a day passes that I don't wish that she is still alive. I could never had done anything to hurt her."
So, I don't think that Uther lied to Arthur and I still am not conviced that he sacrified his dear wife to have an heir.

One of the best scene ever. Arthur crying at his father's feet and Uther kissing his son lovingly. Awwww. Thank you phoenixacid for the screencap^^

So, let me know what you think, I'm really interested!^^
