For the first time she couldn’t hear children laughing in the streets, she couldn’t see and enjoy all the colorful costumes they are hiding behind, little cute Trick-or-Treaters. She has always loved children, taking care of them. Since when she was a young girl she has always been overprotective with her friends, always. And she has always known that she’d have a large family, a house full of her children laughs and happiness.
And now she was lying alone in a large bed wishing for children to come to the Luthor’s Manor to give them candies, but she knew they wouldn’t come, they never did. She still had bought a lot of candies. You never know. She thought she would be so happy when being pregnant with her first child and here she was curled in the too big bed crying like a baby. She wished she wasn’t alone.
When Lex came back home, she was fast asleep and while smoothing her hair he whispered to her “You’ll love that child” and that wasn’t a trick.
