off to a great start

* woke up with cramps

* got out of bed and immediately felt yucky from a night of nastiness dripping down my throat.  Oh, how I hate being sick.

* noticed the time, realized Julia had slept in, quickly got her up out of bed

* plugged in the kettle while I got lunch makings out of the fridge for Julia's lunch

* coughed.  gagged.  ran to the bathroom

* puked repeatedly, knocked my glasses into the toilet

* hollered at someone to unplug the squealing kettle.  puked some more

*sat very still on the bathroom floor for a few minutes.  Puking on day two when I already have cramps... *pout*

* washed my glasses and my face, noticed I'd broken the tiny blood vessels around my eyes, again.

* went to the kitchen, noticed Julia was eating bread with peanut butter.  Gave Charlotte some cereal.

* plugged the kettle back in, then I reached into the bottom cupboard for the toaster, grabbing it the way I always do.

* stuck my four fingers into the hot toaster.  dropped it immediately, spraying toast crumbs around the kitchen

* discovered that Julia had made toast and put the hot toaster back in the cupboard, while I was puking in the bathroom.  Points to Julia for being independent and cleaning up after herself but, yeah...ouch, my fingers.

* cleaned up the toast crumbs (I <3 my swiffer sweeper vac)

* made tea and toast for myself while the Littles ate their breakfast.

* splashed my hand with boiling hot tea as I tried to squirt the last drops of honey out of the bottle.

It's all behind me now.

My tea was delicious, the toast is staying down, the girls have gone to school, and Charlotte is content to watch Berenstain Bears for now.  I'll have a hot shower, make more tea and get to work.

After this kind of start to my day, I'm kicking ass and taking names.

puking, injury, illness
