I don't really have much to say

All of us made a long drive to the city yesterday, picked up some clothes for Julia, Charlotte and myself.  Kim hates shopping for clothes so she managed to keep me ooohing and aaahing in the baby department long enough to run out of time to shop for *her*.  Smart girl.   We took a break from shopping so that I could feed and change Charlotte, then Kim was carrying her in the store for a while before she complained about how heavy she was.  So, I brought out the hotsling, put it on Kim and stuffed Charlotte in it, who was content to look around and then fell asleep in the sling.  Kim got a lot of looks from people in the store, and I imagine a few of them were, "Look, another teen mother, such a shame..."   I told her we need to make her a hat or t-shirt that says "She's my sister, not my daughter."

We had supper with Jack's niece who is in her third year of college there, then made the loooong drive home.  Long, only because Julia was really squirmy, grumpy, and annoying all the way home.  We prayed she would fall asleep, but no such luck.  We have a 13 year old and a 3 month old baby and yet it's our 5 year old that causes us the most stress.

Late last night, Jack had been holding Charlotte, got her to sleep and then three times he tried to put her to bed and she woke up immediately.  We both figured she just didn't a shot of booby juice and then she would crash, so I nursed her.  And nursed her.  And nursed her some more.  She nursed so much I could feel my body sucking in like an empty juice box.  Well okay, not really, but OMG she nursed A LOT!  The magic booby juice didn't make her sleepy either, I think it gave her an energy boost because she wouldn't go to sleep so I finally put her in the swing with a blanket tucked around her and I went to bed.  I only intended to leave her there long enough for her to fall asleep, but I crashed in bed and didn't wake up until Charlotte woke up in the swing, three hours later!  She had kicked off her blanket so I suspect she woke up because she was cold, so I quickly tucked her in bed with me, got her hooked up and we both went back to sleep.

This morning, I brought her downstairs and put her on a blanket on the floor beside me and she cooed and kicked and squealed as I typed and chatted with her.

She rolled from her back to her side, off the blanket.....

...and fell asleep!!

Okay, and one more picture just for the cuteness :-)

She fell asleep in the sling while I was vacuuming the other day,
and when I turned off the vacuum, I could hear her suck-suck-sucking her thumb!
