gearing up and winding down

Megan and I went to a movie last night and it was nice to not think about anything obstetrical for a while!  It was also nice to see Ben Affleck with a beard ;-)  Popcorn for supper last night at the movie and my stomach is protesting this morning.  My host is a good cook but I'm really missing my own cooking and my own kitchen.  Kim was home this weekend and did a bunch of baking so at least Jack and the girls have some treats this week.

I've slowly started changing gears from being immersed in Ontario midwifery guidelines and practice, to thinking ahead to my clerkship and job in Saskatchewan.  I have a long list of questions about how things are done in Saskatoon and will hopefully have a chance to do some more observational days before I start my clerkship.  I know that I won't be thrown into the deep end on my first day in the clerkship but I feel like I still have so much to learn before I get started!

I spent all day yesterday listening to the recorded Pharmacology lecture and slides that I need to know before Thursday, and I'm halfway through the final module.  I've put Pharm aside for today and will work on my paper, and maybe start some review of ESW tonight, then back to Pharm tomorrow.  I just need to get through this week and then the rest of the term will be at a more reasonable pace.
