I leave in one week.   Last week when I told Charlotte I was leaving in 11 days she had a very surprised and happy look on her face.  I asked her, "Are you happy that I'm leaving in 11 days?"  She said, "No, I'm just happy that you're here for 11 more days!"

Ah, glass half full.  Smart girl.

Still to do:

* take the girls for a hair cut this week and then the back-to-school preparations are officially done.  Shoes, backpacks, lunch snacks and school supplies are ready to go.

* see my chiropractor this morning for sure; I've had jolting back pain for several days now.

* get prescription refills from my doctor

* spread out the pile of stuff I need to bring to Ontario and see what will be shipped and what will come with me on the plane.

* try and get to the beach one more time with the girls before I leave

* do my last pre-IMPP module: Sociology.

Also, I've been given the date and location of my first observational placement in Ontario.  It's been arranged for the 4th of September so it's a good thing I hadn't planned to stay until the girls started school!  Yeesh.  Anyway, my first placement involves a trek to the train station, two Go Train rides, walk to a midwifery clinic to meet up with other IMPP students and an instructor then  carpool together to the "hospital training day" in Markham.  I'm sure by the time the training day is done I'm going to wish I could just click my heels together and be back in my room but......yeah.  And the next day is my first day of class!

My stomach is doing flip-flops again.

to-do list, impp
