Last day of work, done.  I left notes about unfinished work, packed up my personal stuff, and truly worked right up until 4 o'clock.  The staff had a cake and a going-away gift for me, and when most staff went back to their work half a dozen or so women stayed to chat and I edjumacated them about midwifery in Saskatchewan and Canada - scope of practice, funding, regulation etc.   None of them knew that we carried oxygen, could prescribe and administer medications, knew how to resus a baby, could deliver in hospitals, or could provide services to women 'for free'.  It felt good to answer questions and inform a few more people about midwifery.  And I was shocked to learn that most people think I'm going to Toronto for 3 months to do a whole midwifery program - as if that's all one needs to do to become a midwife o-O  I saw a couple of jaws drop when I gave them the condensed version of what I've already had to do to for my midwifery education.

I got my (tentative) Fall schedule for the IMPP today.  Reading it all made my stomach do flip flops, but I'll take some time this weekend to really look it over carefully and hopefully calm my nerves.

It's been a couple of days since I did any work on my modules so tomorrow I have to buckle down and get some work done.  Pharmacology is due in 3 days, then it's on to Sociology.

I have boxes and piles of stuff in my room that need to be packed.  I'm going to ship a box of stuff out there too; some books and things I may not need for the first few weeks.

Tonight, Jack and I took his dad and the girls to the circus and they all really enjoyed it.  I accidentally dropped my little P&S camera and the lens is jammed open now :-/  I'll take it to my camera guy on Monday and see if he can fix it before I go to Toronto.  I had my Nikon with me too, but after the first few acts of the circus my battery died!  Geez.  I had to resort to taking a few dark and blurry pictures with my phone.  Charlotte and Julia's first circus and I have no good photo evidence - this is hard for a photo junkie like me.

Now I've had a cool shower to wash off the day, put on my freshly washed slippers and I'm going to go to bed.  Clean, crisp sheets and my Kindle are waiting for me.  Oh, and Jack is too :-P
