(no subject)
We had company last night and the girls stayed up very late, even after they were put to bed. Unfortunately, the sound of heavy rain and thunder woke them both up at 7:30. It's unusual to see the fog and such thick, dark clouds. The thunder has made the windows rattle, the power has flickered several times, and the dog is restless and whimpering in fear. I guess swimming lessons are cancelled today ;-)
Charlotte has a birthday party this afternoon, just outside of town. The gravel roads will be mucky and gross. I'm sure Jack would agree; he's driving around on them for 15 hours today.
Now, when my bed-headed, snuggly, afraid-of-the-thunder little one is done with her morning cuddles, I think I'll work on some of the domestic arts, and then some scrapbooking!
