Richard Simmons is my hero

I have officially joined a gym. It has not been as hard as I thought. I joined with a friend but we've only went together a couple of times. I have refused to weigh myself but I think I've at least been toning up. I don't think I've lost any weight but its only been a little over a week. On Saturday my goal was to run 3.1 miles which is the same as a 5k, which I wanted to be able to run. After that it wasn't that hard and I just kept going. I ended up running 6.2 miles, a 10k! I cannot believe it. I have been pretty proud of myself in a really lame way. I'm not sure how I am able to run over 60 minutes after only going to the gym a few times and not working out for months. I have never in my life ran or even considered running for that long. I can all ready see the difficulty but for now its fun. Although I don't necessarily want to go today, but I'm trying to go every other day, more if I feel like it. I haven't felt like it yet! I feel like I would be even more inclined to go if I had someone to go with all the time. I'm hoping that I keep on track. I need some cheerleaders!

In 4 weeks I'll see a change in my body.
In 8 weeks the people close to me will see a change.
In 16 weeks the world will see a change.

I want to give it 16 weeks and see what changes happen.
