So I had a fantastic weekend for the most part. I am now 21! My venture into adulthood is off to a great start. Eric had the whole weekend planned for my birthday and it was wonderful! On Friday after I got off work, he surprised me by taking me to Color your world at Easton, a pottery place where you get to pick a piece of pottery and paint and design it any way you want to. So I painted it a calm green with java polka dots. I don't get it back for 6 days though because they have to fire it. I'm so excited! Then we walked in the warm, clear summer night air to the Melting Pot a fondue restaurant. I had never been and it was so neat! It is almost completely dark with exception of candles and they played this really trippy music that made me expect to see someone shooting up heroine in the bathroom. The place was definitely romantic though and a really neat experience. Although, you cook your own meat and I have no idea how we escaped without salmonella poisoning.
On Saturday, I was sick most of the day, but then that evening we went out with my family and two of my good friends since childhood. Then we spent the night playing cards and what not. I got some really sweet gifts too (from Eric). I feel spoiled :).
Sunday, Eric and I spent half of the day playing our new songs for my family. Then we went to Urban outfitters to return some stuff. As I did this, I noticed that my purse was open and my debit card, social security card, and drivers license were missing (please don't ask why I just had these sitting in my purse). Anyway, we searched EVERYWHERE even back to the car and could not find them. I was doing my best not to freak out, but as you can imagine it was extremely hard. I started to panic as I walked down high street in Columbus (a very busy city and street). I started to pray and when I opened my eyes there were all three of my cards on the ground!!! On top of this, there were three homeless men lying right in front of them (not that I mean they would take them for sure but it is a possibility...there were so many people walking over them too!!!) !!! God is so amazing! After all of this drama, Eric took me to the Franklin Park Conservatory where there are a lot of flowers and vegetation. I got to use my new camera and practice shooting some. It was so relaxing. Then we went inside to the butterfly exhibit where you are surrounded my tons of butterflies. They land on you and you can carry them around. It was so beautiful. Like a fairytale land...I will add pics later
