I love TV. If TV were a man, I'd marry it. (Well, I say that about a lot of things I love.) But I nearly had to break up with TV a few days ago.

I seriously had to take a break from TV this past week. I couldn't even watch Wenty or BB7. (JANEY LIVES!!!) The only show I could deal with was Animaniacs.

First of all, WTF with the Emmys? I mean, I like Tony Shalhoub, Mariska Hargitay, and Blythe Danner... but the hell?! Then, after recovering from last night's Laguna Beach*, I've had to work on two Yo Mommas and a dreadful TV movie remake starring River from Firefly and Jennifer Tilly.

* Cami has replaced Ty Pennington as my TV Nemesis

But then I finally watched the last four eps of Arrested Development, and now I'm back in love with TV. This show is so fucking perfect. And it's like magic: it washed away a week's worth of the O.C., Wilmer Valderrrama, and ABC Family Movie angst. Trust me, that was a lot of angst.

Never mind that I stayed up most of the night watching the S3 DVDs, and that this post stopped making sense a couple paragraphs ago. It was totally worth the sleep deprevation and fatigue. And I knew the finale was set in Long Beach, I still squeed when I saw the familiar coastline. OMG, I saw the freaky/cool round apartment building & convention center & my favorite Art Deco-ish building! I live close-ish to those places!

And now I'm sad because that was the last AD episode ever.

bliss_, I did some research & spending at Sephora. I'll post or e-mail about it next week. Until then, this place has been on my must-visit list for years. The brushes are supposed to be high-quality & affordable. I'll probably go there next week.

I volunteered to work OT this week, meaning I'm going in on one of my days off. First reaction -- "Crap, what the hell was I thinking?!" Second, more logical reaction -- "OT money equals DVD money, and Supernatural is out on Tuesday and OMG, YAY!!!" Seriously, I've never been so excited about a Tuesday in a long time. I just might be outside Best Buy at 10 a.m., warming up for my dash to the DVD section.

Goldfrapp, "Strict Machine" -- Yes, badtyler, I found the Verizon song! I knew it was Goldfrapp, but I had to research to find the right one.

She Wants Revenge, "Out of Control" -- I'm too tired to explain why I like this song. Although at the moment, it's lulling me into a relaxed state.

laguna beach, free stuff!, work, dvd wh0r, music, arrested development
