Do you all think it would be too much to give a kid two middle names? They would both be names to honor deceased family members, and I realize the kid would never really use the second middle name in normal every day life. Superfluous to give two? Or a nice tribute to family members?

Some of my friend's (close friends as well as facebook, haha) names that are more on the unique side, including the origin for some of them...

Amaris (properly pronounced "'am-uh-riss", but she pronounces it "uh-'mar-iss and her spanish-speaking family pronounces it "ah-'ma-ree" with a rolled "r")
Feraaz (pronounced "fuh-'rozz". He was raised ( ... )

So, I have just started reading this blog called Mar and Peej. The mom's names is Marcella and her daughter is Pella James.

I think Marcella is just a gorgeous name. Althoough, I am slightly partial to Marceline because of Adventure Time. I've never come across Pella before. I guess it's a less trendy version of Ella/Bella. And I know most people ( ... )

Twin little girls I met at the pool: Anabella and Angelina.

Surprisingly, my first thought was not "Angelina Jolie," maybe because they came as a pair and it sounds sweeter.

Last night the new singing competition Duets premiered, and the host is a man named Quddus. Pronounced kind of like Kuh-Doose.

I had never heard of him, but I looked him up and he's a Canadian MTV VJ. His full name is Benjamin Quddus Philippe.

I'd also never heard of the name itself before. Personally, I think it's a little weird and makes me ( ... )
