My Week in PoDunk....

Jul 10, 2006 10:51

ok, so it wasn't really PoDunk... the place we stayed in South Carolina on the way up to see Erin was definitely podunk, though... we had to drive to Savannah just to get some food. But it was a gay ol' time and I ate at the Pirate's House, which was way cool. Other than that, the drive up to NY was pretty uneventful, exceopt for the hilarity which was my Grams fearing that we'd get caught with the her cat. She was being a tad bit paranoid, but since I'm a very accomodating granddaughter, I went the extra mile to stuff Zamora into a duffle bag and sneak into the hotel rooms, to leave the room to throw away any extra cat food (heaven forbid the maid looks through the trash and discovers we were harboring an illegal cat), and to place the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. It was crazy. Plus, she drives very slow. And she does not trust MapQuest and insisted on looking it all up on a map anyways - what was the point of my printed out directions, then??? But, all in all, it was a nice bonding experience. We were even stopped in one of the hotel's breakfast areas by a young woman, who told us a heartwrenching tale about how her grams had died when she was in 6th grade and how she thinks its so great that we look like we're having so much fun with ours and how we should not take our time with her for granted.... i actually teared up a bit. *sniffle* The fun times we were having at breakfast included me and cordy laughing at grams and her inability to hear us when we whisper...

Cordy: "Hey, look at the waffle maker... that hand logo looks like a wolf."

Grams: "Where?"

Cordy: "The waffle maker." *points*

Grams: "Where?" *looks outside" "I don't see a wolf."

Cordy: "No, No, Grams. The waffle maker."

*Continues to look outside for the wolf.*

Cordy: "The waffle maker... *5 second pause*... The waffle maker."

Sam: *laughs loudly and hysterically and prompts numerous stares from the surrounding breakfasters*

So, not so sweet, but damn funny. We left on Monday and got to Erin's on Wednesday. We stopped and met Bay for lunch in DC on the way up... I almost died trying to get out of the parking lot. And then I almost died trying to get back on the main road... DC was very confusing. I still want to live there, though...

Once at Erin's, we met Joe and he was fantastic! He was just so sweet and loving and accomodating. The boy would do anything for Erin, or her mom and dad. He's like their little bitch. But in a very sweet way. And I'm sure they only take advantage of his sweetness in your normal, average way. And if he wasn't my cousin's boyfriend, I feel like I would've left NY with a major crush. <3

So we hung out with her fam and with he friends all week. My aunt Kath kept making amazing dinners.. we playes some Sattergories, Harry Potter Scene It? and other such things. I got really into a new book series: Gossip Girl... it was so amazing to sit outside, with her WILLOW TREES *squee* and read without having to sweat like a sweaty hog bacon piece. We also did a lot of fires! The first time I hung out with her friends, we had a fire and played some Texas Hold 'Em... My favorite game, you know. *note the sarcasm* I actually don't really mind it... I'm pretty good at it, but I just don't necessarily enjoy it. All of her friends were really swell and nice and everything, but ya know me.. I was a bit shy at first. The next night they all came over to Erin's house and we did another fire and this time we made S'mores! *yums* Then, after I FINALLY got to talk to Jan for a mere few mins, they asked me if I wanted to go Downtown to a few bars. My instinct was to say No and sit at home with cordy and grams and watch tv or keep reading. But then, ya know, I just sucked it up and got all dolled up and decided to go. I used Amanda Hanna's ID - she was really adorable. No one would let me buy myself a drink... Their friend Jeremy bought my first one (I actually think he got it for free, since he's a bartender in the area) and then Joe kept insisting on buying me drinks. I did a Swedish Fish Shot and it was the most amazing shot I've ever done. I got pretty drunk... not like, my normal silly and absurd drunk, cuz I wasn't comfy with these ppl, but I felt it all in my head and since Jan wasnt there to make me take breaks or force me to drink water or gatorade, I woke up with my first hangover. But, it was fun times.. we all danced and sang and giggled and it was great.

On the ride home, their normally sweet and gentlemanly friend, Richard accosted me. First, he was insisting I had to sit on his lap, cuz on the way there we had to do that (I sat squished in the middle on no one's lap, btw). But this time, Joe and Erin were in the very back of the Jeep, so I calmy tried to explain that it was unnecessary. So, he decided to put his arm around me, which was fine, until he started rubbing my arm and such. I got a bit nervous - probably more nervous than was necessary, but I'm awkward around men for some reason. He tried to hold me hand, but I averted him without drawing too much attention. Then I noted that his thumb was precariously close to my breastal region, so I thwarted anything that could arise from that by crossing my arms and using my hands as a protective shield. Then, out of nowhere, (as I thought he was passed out), he grabs my chin and forces my face to turn in his direction and he bore down on me. For a second, I panicked, cuz how I mean, how often does a buff military man grab your face and try to make you kiss him? But then, with my sly sneaky skill, I manuevered out of the way and made him let go of my face. I told him "None of that, Bad Richard!" and I swear, he passed out. His head fell all to his side. Then, like 5 mins goes by and his hand goes flying at me out of nowhere and he tried to make me kiss him AGAIN! This time, he drew far too much attention, and Joe whacked him on the back of his head and the sober driver, Jeremy, yelled at him. Then, Amanda, who was sitting next to me, put a final stop to his rubbing of my arm. Then, he actually did pass out and they had to carry him into his house. It was very awkward and not at all sexy and I was fearful. But, alas, he was perfectly normal the next day and not at all scary, so all was good.

The next night was a huge debaucle and nothing went as planned and there was horrible fish hook incident. But, alas, I gotta pack and head back to Orlando tonight, so I'll save that story for next time. Btw, you should all know, that my amazing boyfriend has decided to come see me this coming weekend... as in TOMORROW! I'm so excited, cuz it's been soooo long since we saw eachother, and between me being away and having to work before that and him having a ridonkulously busy schedule, I've barely talked to him! Plus, we'll have crazy hot sex and you should all be jealous! Katie is coming too and I'm muy excited, because I've so lost touch with her, given that she was like my best friend in 9th and 10th grade... We're gonna bless her with some fun girly drunk times this weekend and it'll be grand!

Ok, buh byes for now! I LOVE YOU!!!

<3, Sammie
