Baby Don't Go
I am still so obsessed with the Josh Gracin cd!
I had my first full week at work. I think I like it. It took me a day or two to get into the swing of things, but I think I caught on fairly quickly. Considering I have never done anything like that before, and it STILL cracks me up that its a tractor dealer type place! Who would have ever thought! I think Marty and Kathy are gonna flip. Maybe that just me, because I can't seem to get over it. The other day I took a phone message and when the guy gave me his name "Frank DeGon" I was thinking, "Isn't that Shorty??" Who is Marty and Kathy's neighbor, they share cows and water and all that good stuff. He needed some part for his tractor. But then when he came in he looked a little different than I have remembered him, but definately short. So I was thinking if it wasn't him it was definately a relative. Then the next day I processed the check they paid with for deposit and the address on the check, sure enough was Shorty's! I never said anything to him because I didn't think he would know who I was. I wonder if Marty will ever come in, that would totally tickle me! But I bet they go out to the fairfield store, but maybe not because I bet both stores are equally far away. Shorty's probably gone home and spread rumors about the Airway Heights one anyways. But I don't know what to do! That place gets so busy I don't know what to tell the cranky farmers that call up and want to talk to someone in parts! I mean come on now! But I feel bad for them, sometimes I wish there was something I could do. I'd like to tell them to just come on in and they'll get all the service in the world but some of them live really far away!
Anyways everyone there seems really nice, and I like it, so that's good. The mechanics are all really goofy, I guess my kind of people! Haha. They are always kidding around with me, luckily they are comfortable enough to kid around with me like they kid around with eachother,I guess they play pranks on eachother constantly. The other day they wrapped this one guys tool box all up in shrink wrap and then they put it up on the hoist and watched him look all over the place for it. I guess its the same guy who has been stuffed in the dumpster a few times! But yeah, tractors and all that stuff is really interesting to me, I don't know why, it just is! I went out and looked in the window to the shop the other day and I always thought seeing a car all torn apart and hoisted up was kinda cool, but man let me tell you seeing a tractor all torn apart and hoisted up or a combine, man these things are MASSIVE! Its so crazy! Everything is totally dwarfed by them! I wonder what its like to drive one. Maybe if Brad gets to drive the combine for the Roecks, I can ride with him in it one day. Although I don't know if that's possible, they are sort of one man vehicles, or maybe if he drives the baler sometime I wanna ride in it with him. Just to see what its like. They have these little toy tractors in the store and they are so cute, I seriously want one so bad! The best part is that they come with little tiny toy bales of hay, there are ones that come with round bales and ones that come with square bales. So cute, I agree that playing with a toy tractor is probably much more rewarding with toy bales of hay included. Haha.
I got the days off of work that I was hoping for to go see Brad. Which is great. I am really happy about that. Me and mom are gonna go because Dad has to work. But we'll get to have a little mini vacation. Maybe even see a few things. I think mom is mostly concerned with seeing Brad. I am really excited to get to go aboard a real live Marine Corps base, that should be neat! And I want to buy a bajillion marine corps things in the PX! Haha! I don't even know if that's possible, I'm sure Brad would have to buy it. But I think it will be neat to get a look at Marine Corps Base life that I could be living some day. I have a feeling that I'll like it. Of course I am triply excited to get to see Brad again, I miss him so very much! He's my heart and soul and I don't know what I would ever do without him. I have gotten two letters so far, both from May, he said he was going to be busy for a while and wasn't sure when he'd be able to write again, hopefully next weekend he can use the phone. I know I'll have it glued to me. I told him that I work on Saturdays, so yeah, we'll see. I have to take CPR in the morning, but I can't find my card from Pediatrics, which you need in order to take your recertification, I'll look some more but if I really can't find it, I am gonna get really mad, and hopefully they will accept a photocopy of both the cards because the school has copies of it. I wonder if the freakin school is even open, they oughta be if they are demanding we do all this stuff. I gotta go check it out on Wednesday, I also have to make sure I get a PPD too. Although if they're not open after five, I don't know how I'll ever get it read. Well I could read the damn thing myself, but I am not the one who has the official doctors note thing that says I pass. Now that I am doing this receptionist stuff its weird to think that one day I'll be wandering around the hospital in scrubs! But none the less I am very excited for that! I hope our mother/baby rotation is a cool one! Anyways I think it is about my bed time so I am gonna go check into that! Another work week starts tomorrow!
