I am holding a play reading

Nov 27, 2008 02:17

The Water Plays: Three new interrelated plays by aspiring playwright [me]. BATHYPHOBIA: A man underwater. THE WATER FIRST: Two lovers in a boat. DOLPHINLESS: A woman in the water. Tragedy, comedy, absurdity, philosophy, romance, stage magic and... water.

I am having a first-look table reading of a new play trio that I am preparing to submit to next year's Fringe festival. That means the actors will be standing still with scripts in hand and it will be very informal. The three plays run about an hour, and then there will be about half an hour for discussion and talkback afterwards. After that, there will probably be adjourning to a nearby dining establishment.

Saturday, December 6th from 3-5pm in the Second Floor Large Meeting Room at the Cleveland Park Libary in Northwest D.C., 3310 Connecticut Avenue. Within one block of Cleveland Park Metro on the Red Line; street parking in surrounding neighborhoods and elsewhere nearby, but give yourself time.

By library rules this is open to the public so bring anyone you want. I consider this an open invitation to any friends and colleagues. Note there is lots of space (seating for 100 if I should be so lucky!), so if you're not sure you can make it until the day of, don't have to worry about the place becoming full.
