Mild update
Very close to settled in to the new place. Big hint that this is so: When I'm getting on 495, I'm no longer accidentally heading towards Gaithersburg instead of Berwyn.
Living with two cute spunky kittens is very different than living with an older sleepy golden retriever.
Now that I have a place and am closer to people, I've got to reach out and start hanging out with said people. Mostly the only people I've seen (who I don't see reguarly anyways) have been current SMers - since I'm five minutes away from campus, there's almost no reason to not take a couple hours to see a bunch of friendly acquaintances the Mondays and Thursdays when I'm not otherwise busy. (For the uninitiated, those are the days the club meets.) Of course this is leading to becoming closer with some of them, slightly and slowly, which is both weird because most of them are not yet graduated and nice because they all live close by. Those other folks whom I need to reach out to, they all live in Northern Virginia and Baltimore for the most part.
The cast party for the Rocky Horror show last night was here, seeing as how five current or former members live in this house. It was nice to not have to go anywhere to go to sleep afterwards. Our house (oddly shaped, a bit labyrinthine, with few large open spaces) is not conducive to the usual SM party debauchery; more so to pleasant conversation and Nonstop Kitten Games.
The hot tub in the house is apparently impossible to find a cleaner for, so it is unusable as of yet. If we open it we get Legionnare's Disease. INSTANTLY.
