I recently edited and finished to my satisfaction a short story I began a while ago, and I would like for some friends to read it and give me their reactions.  It's a science fiction story, although hopefully, if I have done it well, it's more of a human story than anything else.  It is definitely not some Star Trek-y Star Wars-y thing; I'm aiming more for Bradbury than Asimov.  It's called "Threshold of the Stars."

I'm hoping to make it ready and suitable to submit to the best short-fiction magazines and serials.

The catch:  It's 25 pages long.  (Technically, it's a novelette.)  Takes probably an hour to read.  And if you'd be willing I'd love it if you read it twice, once normally and straight through as if reading for pleasure (hopefully its pleasurable!) and then once making note of confusing sentences and the like.  BUT it's totally cool if you don't want to read it twice.

If you're interested/willing, post a reply with the best email address to send it to.  Comments are screened so only I will see it.

Thanks!
