Secret War (Comic Book Entry)
A year and a quarter ago, I started collecting the five-issue Secret War comic. Issues were painted, I think, so each one took about three months to produce. I just picked up the last issue yesterday, and let me just say:
Blah.
The first issues were interesting. By the end, not at all. This wouldn't bother me so much, except I started collecting again around this comic (and 1602), and I wanted it to end well. It had great characters, and read well at first (and many of those characters went on to be the New Avengers, which I'm really enjoying), but it quit being interest by the end, and mostly at the end.
I'm a bit saddened by that.
In other comic news, this Decimation (X-Men) storyline is just not doing it for me. Maybe I should drop that damn giant crossover hell as well...
