I found this story about a mayor in San Angelo, TX who left his post (basically ran away) to move to Mexico with his undocumented immigrant lover. What's nice about his story is even though San Angelo is a pretty conservative town, most folks there knew he was gay and didn't care. And many wish he was back living with them. But then again it shows just was flippity floppy living in Texas can be.
