Oh Kristy I miss your fangurling :D. If anything you know how much I squee and fangurl over Buffy, she is, above all else my number one love. I don't think I'll be able to respond to this without hitting my character limit either *WEG*.

Though I do have to put one thing out there, I never liked Andrew, I never thought he was funny, there were other characters more a) interesting b) remorseful c) hilarious. But it also has a lot to do with the looong list of unnecessary characters that were brought on the last season taking the focus (growth, storyline etc..) from the characters that really mattered. And that's the core 4 - 5 if you want to include Anya, but I thought Selfless was a pretty good Anya ep. Do we sacrifice Xander's character, the fact that Willow seemed to be in some sort of...holding pattern for the sake of other characters that I'm sure a lot of didn't care that much about? But moving on from that, that probably is by far my biggest problem with the last season. It wasn't terrible, no by all means, but I felt like ( ... )

Spike...the rape it just, it literally killed something inside of me. And it should have killed something inside of any fan. Just..why? It was something that was just so personal so...I dunno, human. And I agree, I believe the grey Spike is so much more interesting. Why they felt they had to "remind" us he was a demon? I have no idea, to show us that Buffy could never be with someone without a soul? Someone with a hero's heart? But then how could Buffy ever be with someone that claimed to love her yet did this at the same time? I get so mad because everyone talks about how "advanced" he is, and how he could possibly love without a soul - I don't agree, I think love to them...is obsessive, and impure? I guess is the best word. They try so hard to tell us that he truly loved her, but then remind us that he's also a monster, so is it worse that if he really did love her he could also try to violate her like that? Does that make him better or worse then? I say worse. It's just something that I don't think had to go there, if he ( ... )

Holy shit, I've had to do 3 comments! LOL. I should just write an essay *sigh*

There's just something more...epic that they didn't end up happily ever after, and I never expect them to, ever. Their life is always going to be complicated, they have so much history, and the way they did it in Chosen I think was the best way they could have done it, without cheapening it and addressing what was still there and will always be there. That's why "someday" was the best. Like I said, they'll continue to cling to that small hope that there is one, but they can't let it rule their life either. It's the impossible love and that was the most tragic thing about it, that's why we were all so emotionally invested in them (aside from you know their extreme sexiness and chemistry ;). There really isn't any other couple that have been so tragic, and mythic. They're greater than this world, and that's why they'll probably never be together in this life. But in the Jossverse, there are slayers and vampires and Powers that Be, so to me there is a ( ... )

Whatev Kristy :P

Oh man I hang on to every word, and when Joh and I are watching we start giggling madly before the line is even said, we'll say it before it happens, say it when it happens and giggle some more...and then rewind it and watch it again *G*. Then I become a 12 yr old fangurl whenever Buffy and Angel (or y'know, Angel on his own..) are on screen. I'm full of AWNESS THAT IS ZOMG SO HOTSWEETSEXYOMGLOOOOOVE.

Haha there are a lot of times when I wished Xander would be given what he deserves SO many times, but I feel like at least he grew out of it. He'll never like Angel, we know this but IMO it has a LOT to do with Jesse being killed in the first episode. He hates Angel because he's a vampire not because of who he is to Buffy - I mean a little bit, but the hatred is deeper than that. He never hated Riley in fact they got along well, and Xander needed that guy friend. But to me...Willow got worse - and yes he was mean to Angel, not that Angel was ever nice to him...when people are bitchy to Buffy it makes me go postal ( ... )
