This pretty much sums up Right Now for me:
I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.

Thanks. Luckily, I've been pretty far from most of the violence. (I live near Manchester, but that's only relatively speaking: I'm still pretty far away from the centre, which is where the nearest rioting was.) I do have quite a few friends living in London (and a couple in Birmingham and Wolverhampton), though. For a couple of days, I was glued to the BBC news website and facebook, trying to check up on people and make sure they were OK - which, thankfully, they are. But scary is definitely the word. :S
It feels kind of surreal: I can't believe that it's happened. It just feels like something that would never happen, certainly not in London. The photos and headlines, and the news stating that most of the people involved were 'youths' ... it kind of makes me feel ashamed of being a young person in the UK. I mean, it's a minority group, but the looters and rioters are all the world is going to see. And youths have a bad enough rep. as it is for being hoodie-d up vandals anyway ...
Sorry for the rant. The recent news has really shaken me up.
