in my cataloging class we are learning a lot of kind of dull things. for instance (and i am sure the two people reading this are really excited to continue now), the ramifications of forgetting a semicolon in a MARC record. specificially, this makes it so that the searchable title might not omit the word "the" from the beginning (dear lord!! haha. i learned last week that samuel alito is an anagram of "i am a sellout." and this made me remember how much i love anagrams, so i have been working on some of people's names. so far i like alex's the best.
