I think he's only in the premiere, but yes yes yes. He's pretty much amazing in it. When I saw his name in the opening credits, I was like, "OMG ANDRE BRAUGHER :DDD." And I did that several times during the episode as well, lol.
ALSO, can we count the ways I've had it with characterizations of "mentally ill" people as stupid, easily led, somehow intellectually deficient, and/or easily fixed by a pat narrative tool? SERIOUSLY.
For all this show talks about medical ethics and the frontiers of things and crazyass treatments, I was really surprised and disturbed by the confirmation of mainstream psychiatric theory in this episode.*raises hand in agreement

I'm on board with the second half being the weaker of the two. The pacing felt funny? And by funny I mean weak? Because there was drama and tension in the first episode and then all of a sudden--nothing. The switch from hating the help to wanting the help was too abrupt. And, also, it's really disorienting to watch a character-heavy House storyline where House isn't fighting anyone. And, yes, I realize he was fighting ~*himself*~. But it wasn't well done. The struggle in the second half wasn't defined enough
