Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4

Stretching his arms, Min smiled to himself, satisfied that he had reviewed elimination reactions enough and all his reading for philosophy class was done. Japanese was relatively easy, as he could just cram the night before, and calculus was finished long before.

He looked at his watch, noticing that Junsu’s sing should be starting soon. Grabbing his jacket and keys, he popped down the stairs to walk towards the arch.

Though he didn’t mind watching his friend sing, he could live without the screaming freshmen girls who were obsessed with a cappella groups. He could hear their yells and shouts from a mile away as he approached Wester arch.

It was funny to see Junsu change when he sang. Usually he was cute, pouty, with a bit of sarcasm sometimes, but when he sang, he was fully immersed and intense. His eyes could be soulful and his voice rich and emotional. Min was always surprised at the change, seeing Junsu in a different light.

Rushing in and jumping over the screaming girls, One Voice dashed in place to start their arch sing. Junsu stepped to the middle, closing his eyes and beginning Used to Love U by John Legend…

Baby when I used to love you, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do
I went through the fire for you, anything you asked me to
But I'm tired of living this lie
It’s getting harder to justify
Realizing that I just don’t love you
Not like I used to

Min could see the girls swooning left and right around him. Wryly smiling to himself, Min watched Junsu sing out.

“Good job Junsu!” Min tried to hug his friend, but girls kept pushing him, making him trip.
“Min! You came~~I thought you would be in my dorm, spending quality time with a certain someone,” Junsu playfully teased.
“Oh, don’t you start…I’m sure Min’s had enough of a day,” Micky was unusually sympathetic.

Min had often dropped by Jae’s for the past two months, the two of them hanging out and talking. It was weird though, since they never really went back to any intense make-out sessions like before. Kisses were chaste, with simple hand holding or hugging, but Min felt that Jae was being careful for some reason. He often would get a look where Min would think Jae would go further, but they often just had a quick kiss goodnight. Min wasn’t sure if Jae didn’t want to push Min too much, or he was holding back for Min’s sake. In either case, though Min was a little bit regretful, he still enjoyed the sweet kisses and the time spent with Jae.

“Min? Now look what you did. He’s spacing out again, thinking about Jae,” Micky scolded.
“Mmm, well we all have our obsessions….”Junsu draped his arm over Micky’s shoulder, using his other hand to wave in front of Min’s face.

Min started a little, but said quickly,
“You shouldn’t talk Junsu. I thought you were spending quality time with Roxy.” Roxy had been actively stalking Junsu all this semester, pestering him for help on homework and hanging around his room all the time. Granted, it was a low blow considering Junsu had basically told her that he wasn’t interested, but Min was getting tired of being made fun of. Also, he wanted to see what Micky would say.

“Who the hell is Roxy?” Predictably, Micky went for the bait (author’s note: I never knew until xman that micky in korean sounds like “bait” Yes, I'm a dork).
“Um, no one. She’s just a girl who was really, um, interested. But I’m not interested at all! In her. Really! It’s nothing,” Junsu was shooting daggers at Min.
Ah ha, so Micky did seem to like Junsu…Min grinned.
“Sorry, I was just poking fun~Anyway, Junsu’s single and available, good night and good luck!” Min dashed away before Junsu could catch him.

Having a good laugh, Min was walking towards his dorm when his phone rang.

“Hey! I was just about to call you…”
“Hey Min~. I was going to cook some dinner - do you want to bring over those CD’s you wanted me to check out?”
“Okay!”

Min dashed up the stairs to grab Alpinestars, the Basement Jaxx album Jae hadn’t heard yet, and some Air. It had been rather busy lately, but he was excited to spend some down time. Maybe he should take some time to get dressed up a bit…to surprise Jae a bit. Pursing his lips together, he pulled out an artsy t-shirt, military style black jacket and some fingerless gloves. Mussing his hair, he put in his cross earrings and grabbed his wallet.

Min got in as some other people were going into the dorm. He knocked on Jae’s door, but as there was no answer, he walked downstairs towards the kitchen.

“Oh, um hello…”
Min saw two guys and a girl he didn’t know in the kitchen. They smiled at him, and Min soon saw that Jae was rummaging through the fridge.

“Min? Hey, sorry, I just wanted to make sure I had everything before I started…were you waiting outside? I was down here for a few minutes…” Jae looked slightly guilty.
“Oh no! It was fine; I'm a little early…some people were going into the dorm, so I thought I’d go in anyway,” Min replied.
“Okay. Oh, so these are some people in the dorm - that’s Rob and Josh over there, and other there is Beth.”
Min smiled, but was a little disappointed that he wouldn’t be having alone time with Jae.

“So I brought the CD’s…is it okay if we listen to them?” Min was asking the others, more so than Jae.
“What is it?” Rob asked.
“Um, a band called Alpinestars, some Air, and some Basement Jaxx.”
“Sure~ Go for it,” Beth replied.

Min began setting up the boombox, while the others were making their own food. He pressed play, and walked over to Jae, giving him a quick squeeze on the shoulder before asking if he could help.
“Mmm, you can make the rice and I’ll cook the chicken,” Jae said.

As the first track rolled, Min felt oddly happy and slightly self-conscious. For some reason, it seemed like their relationship was more out in the open…after all, they were almost being domestic cooking dinner and all in front of people…Min smiled to himself and starting washing the rice.

“This is great! What is this called?”
“This is called nusexx city…lots of vocoder usage, as you can tell.”
Rob started dancing in the small kitchen, much to the amusement of the rest of the gang.

Rob, Josh, and Beth were making some desert while Jae and Min waited for the rice to cook. Min found out that Rob was really into dance music also, while Josh was a hardcore gamer. Beth was somewhat quiet, but she showed Min some of her drawings which she hoped to publish later.

“I do it more for myself, but we’ll see in the future,” she said.

They talked a bit, enjoying the music and playing some cards with a deck they had found on the shelf. Rob promised Min he would burn some CD’s for him, and Josh was telling Min his latest obsession with some ninja gaiden-like game. Jae kept glancing over at him, and every time their eyes would meet, Min would smile, or laugh, or just grin stupidly…sophomore year was going very well.

They had just finished and cleaned up, and now Min was sitting on Jae’s bed while Jae was checking something on his computer. Flopping down completely, he stared at the posters that Jae had put up on the ceiling…Most of them were abstract, some of fractals, some of famous surrealist paintings. Turning to his side, Min gestured towards Jae,

“Come over here; It’s more comfortable~~”
Jae looked over at the lounging Min, who currently had his jacket open and his shirt slightly hiked up. Min tried his best come hither look, arching his body slightly across the bed. Jae quickly looked away, saying,
“Just a second…”
Pouting, Min sighed a little, wondering why Jae was asking so strangely. Usually, Jae would be warm and excited, and only be too happy to be near Min, but for some reason he seemed impersonally friendly. Min decided that bolder tactics were necessary.

“Jae…it’s Saturday…what could be so important on the computer?” Min had gotten up and cooed in Jae’s ear. Sensing no change in reaction, Min wrapped his arms around Jae’s chest pressing closer and breathing teasingly into his neck.
Jae had closed his eyes, fingers stopped atop the keyboard, and was breathing slightly quicker. Min grinned evilly, and began placing light butterfly kisses on Jae’s neck. Jae slowly arched his neck back, his pulse throbbing more intently across his neck. Excited to see Jae react, Min began slightly licking Jae’s neck teasing around his adam’s apple as Jae shuddered.

“Min…”
“Hmmm?” Min was busy reaching into Jae’s shirt, trying to open the buttons.
“Min…ah…Min, stop stop,” Jae suddenly pulled at Min’s hands as his eyes shot open.
“Why?” asked a now slightly annoyed and petulant Min.
“Because you’re tempting me too much-“ Jae began.
“But I want to explore more…please?” Jae looked at Min’s earnest eyes, his bright smile. Jae looked slightly dubious. “I’ll tell you if it gets to be too much,” Min continued.
Jae slightly chuckled, but soon found himself with a bundle of Min, sitting right on top of him in front of the computer.
“Now, where were we…?” Min coyly asked.
“Mmm, I think right about here,” Jae leaned towards Min, letting his fingers brush against Min’s smooth neck.

Min closed his eyes, felt Jae place light butterfly kisses on his lips. his cheeks, his throat. Jae pulled Min closer as Min wrapped his arms around Jae’s waist. Teasing Min with light tongue flicks across his lips. Jae began kissing deeper, sucking lightly on Min’s bottom lip. Moaning and squirming slightly atop of Jae, Min felt Jae suck his bottom lip harder.

Of course, Jae found out that Min could handle a lot more than he expected.
