Sonic the Hedgehog :: Bedtime Hedgehogs
Shadow harrumphed at that. How was he to take Sonic’s advice seriously when the blue hedgehog was standing there wearing those ludicrous clothes?
“Nobody wears pink and black striped pajamas to bed.”
“Hey, they’re comfy! You should try ‘em yourself.” The azure rival stretched his arms and yawned, showing off his night duds. “Better than another lumpy night naked, you know?”
“You look ridiculous.”
“Yeah. Sure Red’ll laugh at me, but I’m not the one sleeping on a green rock.” Sonic grinned. “Night Shads! You never know, a matching set of cotton just might make you less cranky, heh.”
“I don’t find giving away my dignity a fair trade. Good night, hedgehog.”
Sonic went to bed with a smile while Shadow stared at the ceiling, Chaos Spearing the 522nd sheep by the hour. Grumbling after tossing in bed for a restless aeon, the black hedgehog slipped inside a pumpkin pastel-orange robe hung nearby and curled up back in bed… Sonic’s bed.
“Nn… huh?” the sleepy blue one blinked. “Shadow, what are you-?”
“You told me to take chances, so I did.” The dark one muttered, burying under the covers. “I’m staying here whether you like it or not. But take note I’m only doing this so I can get some peace of mind.”
“Heh, sure! Whatever Shads. I’m good! ‘Night.”
As Sonic returned to the Sandman, a toothy grin passed his lips. Silly Shadow. Did he realize he purposely slept right next to him?
I can’t wait to hear Shad’s excuse in the morning~!
