[Written on a sheet of plain, white printer paper in pencil and folded neatly in a lavender greeting card envelope. Included in the envelope is a cartoony drawing in pencil of what appears to be a ghostly young girl with floating, cloud-like hair. From the waist up, Nephele looks like she's wearing some kind of nightgown. Below the waist, Nephele

It's great to hear from you! Your persona appears very stately and beautiful, and the same for you, milady, if not more so. I would draw you Caledfl Caledfwi Cal, except my skills are considerably below your par, but should I come under possession of a camera sometime, I might be able to show you what he looks like.
I also hope that lately, your worries aren't as troublesome as they seemed to be the last time we met? It wouldn't do to have a face like yours creased in worry all the time. : )

Thank you. That's kind of you to say. :) It is good to hear from you as well. I hope you are staying safe. I would be delighted to see Cal if you are able to take a picture of him. I'm quite curious about him.
I'm doing quite well, actually. Life has been wonderful of late.

I'd hope not to raise your hopes up too much. There's no guarantee that Cal would agree to taking the picture either. He doesn't always cooperate when I would like him to...
But I am glad to hear that! It's much nicer seeing a smile on that face. Anything else just wouldn't do it justice. Although, has anything strange been happening where you are lately?
Like demon automobiles.
That sort of thing.

If he has no desire to be photographed, it's all right. Don't worry about it. :) Speaking of photographs, however, do you have any of yourself available? I'm curious about you, too. :)
[Draws a heart smiley in the middle of the page. James truly is a sweet boy.]
It has been strangely quiet since the night of the blackout, as a matter of fact. I have not encountered any more demons, of the automobile variety or not. Would you mind telling me more about it?

Dear Lillian,
Enclosed is a photo. (I am the one without a mustache and not a girl.)
I suppose you are lucky over there then! We've been having cases of automobile-related deaths in the local town lately. We suspect that it is some sort of demon-possessed machine. Bianchessi and the bear Betty and I ran into it one night - we haven't found a way to defeat it yet. It's very strong! If you run into something of the sort, please be careful!

I'm glad you and the others escaped from it safely. Could you describe it to me? That way I'll know what it looks like in case I come across one here. So far, the demons I've seen have had very distinctive appearances.

It's a big, black car. I couldn't recognize the make, or if there even was one, but it moves very fast, and you'll know which one it is because of the backfire sounds it always makes.
And because it'll be aiming for you. As mentioned, please exercise extreme caution!

I'll be careful and I'll urge the others to do the same if we come across it. I'll keep an eye out for any large, black cars making the sound you describe as well as any that seem to be targeting people. You and the others should be careful, too, in case it comes back. If we encounter such a thing in our time and discover any weaknesses, I'll send word so you know as well.

P.S. Thank you for the picture. You look quite handsome. :)

That would be very helpful! Thank you for being so considerate.

P.S. You flatter me, milady!
P.P.S. May I also call you 'Lilly'? 'Lillian' is an equally beautiful name, but I like the sound of 'Lilly.'

You're welcome. We're in all in this together it seems. I'm certain we will be able to accomplish great things if we work together. :)

P.S. You may call me 'Lilly'. Do you have a name you prefer to go by or should I keep calling you James? :)
P.P.S. I merely speak the truth!

I have the utmost faith in it!
You can call me 'Jimmy.' Most people do. : ) (The ones I like.)

I'm glad to hear that. I believe that when people work together as one they can do many things they wouldn't be able to achieve alone.
Most people call me 'Lillian' but my friends and family call me 'Lilly'. :)
