(no subject)
This week has been too easy... Monday was a full day of school then rehearsal with the CSO. Tuesday was a Young People’s Concert in Chattanooga and I didn’t go back to school. Wednesday was a Young People’s Concert in Cleveland. I didn’t have to go back to school so I went to visit my buddy Diana at Tyner. Tomorrow is a half day of school for all of Hamilton County. Then no school Friday.
Going back to tyner was kind of weird. I saw a few people I remember from when I used to go there… Tyner is a lot more strict than CCA, but then again it’s probably just normal and I’m not used to it. Any school that isn’t full of crackpotskin heads is going to be a little different. Now that I look back, I’m glad I left when I did. If I stayed, yea I’d have a stronger academic foundation, but I probably would have quit viola by now. I’d be a completely different person.
The YPC concerts seemed to go on forever. Thru the concerts I kept thinking that if I had won the concerto competition, I would be performing. That would be okay with me if Dr Rylands didn’t always say it was my fault that I lost because I switched from the Bartok to the Walton over the summer. But I know what I did was right… Otherwise the concerts were cool. I had fun w/ my people… gray, charli, letha, willy 1 & 2, mimi… I can’t wait to be a professional orchestral musician.
And FYI William yang: I am not obsessed with Asian people. I heart Korean people and Chinese food… for your info.
