This Website is the link of the premises I'm reviewing today Ed-Don
I passed by this place quite a few times during my walks along the area, and I always had the mpression that this place was typically gay. went to the 1st premises they had, located at Lucky Chinatown, and I was disappointed that at that time the service staff only paid attention to the good-looking, muscular, cute, etc. guys, and gave the rest of the male population a somewhat lukewarm reception.
However, I was extremely surprised when I gave the premises another chance by going up to the new place and looking at their clothes. Granted, the design and cutting of their merchandise is a wee bit revealing, but I was delighted by the 360 degree change in service.
I was with a friend, and we placed our inhibitions (and attitude) at the doorstep. We went in and was served by what seemed to be the only person manning the store, and we were taken aback by the warm and friendly service we received.
Water was served (even if it was only plain water and it tasted like it was from the tap, but it was a nice surprise) and the only sales person helped us choose clothes. Not only did he help choose us clothes, he took great pains at expressing what the clothes could do for every individual. He also explained how to wear the clothes to fit your body shape, and to expose your best feature, be it your chest or your neck or your waist.
Another thing which was a great surprise was the fact that the dressing room was that: literally a room! It was the size of a small HDB bedroom, and the furnishings were good enough to make you want to move in right away.
The ambience was also very welcoming, homely to be exact. You could change the music to fit your needs, and if you were hungry while waiting for your friend who is trying new clothes, you could run down to buy some pastries, and bring it back up to the store to eat. How neat is that!
The sales person told us about his fashion philosophy and chatted with us to better understand our tastes in clothing, and he took great pains to observe you to look for your better features, so that he could find suitable clothes for us.
All in all, I'd give Ed-Don an 9 out of 10. After all, the clothes are not for everyone. They are for those who dare to wear and want limited edition pieces.
Word of advice: Those who are considering to pay this place a visit, please leave your attitudes at the doorstep. Good service comes with the responsibility to be a good customer. And also, please throw your stereotypes and bigotry out of the window, because not only do they not need them ,Singapore doesn't need it too.
