I finally finished the two baby announcements I've been working on for the better part of a year.  The babies were born in May (two different families, within a week of each other, but same friend group), and all I've had left is the names and dates and such, I just kept putting it off.  Well, they're done now, and all that's left is to frame and photograph them, and then figure out how and when to get them up to DC.  (No particular reason to go anytime soon, but I expect I can make one up.)

Pictures will be forthcoming once they've been given to the families, because I figure they ought to be the first to see the completed project.  But I think they turned out really well, I'm very pleased with them.

I think shinyopals and ladyprydian may have named the Medieval Omegaverse for me. I hate naming fics; if  title doesn't occur to me early in the process, then chances are good that it won't occur to me at all, and I've gotten into a rut of calling the story by Medieval Omegaverse and nothing else.  (No pun intended, mostly because it's a terrible pun anyway.)  But Shiny suggested "John and Sherlock Do the Sex", which let's face it, it's Omegaverse, she's not wrong, and then Pry went and translated it into Latin, which Shiny translated back into English, but sadly, it is too late, and I have to admit, I kind of like the Latin for whatever reason, so I'm calling the story Fornicatio autem, which apparently translates as "But fornication."  Mostly though, I just like the sound of it.  And it's weirdly appropriate.  And also not. But I don't care, because now the blasted thing is titled, and all is well with the world.

The editing on the Alphaverse is going well.  I think.  I'm mostly through the first book, and then I can dive into the second.  Oh!  And I remembered the tangeant I was going on in Alpha 2, I was starting to write about Sherlock's uni years with Victor Trevor, and having a lovely time with that, except I think I ran out of steam just as the two of them were going to get particularly interesting.  Hopefully I find the steam again.

Andrew's got almost all next week off from school - grumble grumble - but I'm hoping to keep us a bit busy so he doesn't get too bored.  We're going to go to the zoo on Monday, and Tuesday he has school like normal, and then I just have to fill in time around soccer and and whatnot.  Maybe the children's museum in Richmond one day.  I'll think of something.
