I do have a job now, it seems. Not much, about 9 hours a week, but it's better than sitting around doing nothing all of the time.
Last Thursday I shooed caro around to get her application in, I was surprised at how successful that was. Now let's see if she is also employed within a week like I was, they did say they were looking pretty urgently.
Markus is quitting his job, and I got to play moral support for him when he went in and talked to him employer - who is a remarkably sensible woman and agreed wholeheartedly to the idea of him getting a handle on his psyche before any further employment happens, and at the same time complimented him about having so much charisma and talent. She was right in that he shouldn't waste his chances. A refreshing encounter.
Sunday was Toby's birthday. Meeting up and playing games was nice. I also made a cake which was recieved well enough.
Catastrophes seem to happen all over the world in very quick succession lately. I'm starting to wonder how much longer it'll be until we're hit, and think it might not have been a good idea to clear out the small food storage I had in anticipation of leaving this place. ...we shall see.
I worry for people.
