so i found time to update this thing. i just got back from work and i need to do some laundry. so as i wait, i thought to update Lj so i dont neglect this so much.
work is awesome. i truly found something i enjoy doing and get paid to do so. almost an irony, at least if you ask my peers. unfortunately, today was realy long and exhausting. we had a cancellation for our inbound flight from washington and this, intern, also means a cancellation for tomorrow mornings flight. so i spent 3.5hrs rebooking tomorrow's passengers. i was sad that most of them will have to go to Continental or Delta to get to their destinations tomorrow.
washer stopped. one sec.
im back. dryer is now on.
so aside from work, all is well. im finally going to solo a Cesna 172S within the next 10 days. I'm up for a stage check with another pilot to test my progress thus far and he'll determine whether or not im ready to go up there alone. this is a rite of passage, a moment when a student pilot passes a glorified threshold of training that has finally come my way.
school, the academics part, is going. and by going i mean, thank got im not failing. this semester has been so chill and im fine with that. im doing best in economics, followed by meteorology II, flight physiology, then marketing. for some reason, i have found marketing to be so drab. it doesnt interest me and i find most of it to be a subtle and insignificant extention to intro to business. at least i havent had to audit or drop, so i guess i should be thankful for that. the spring is always a lazy period.
i also registered for next semester and FALL 06 will go as follows;
AS310/Aircraft Performance
AS356/Aircraft Systems & Components
AS232/Intermediate Aeronautics
BA210/Financial Accounting
i might at AS311/Aircraft Engines-Turbines in there but that will affect the current MWF schedule i have. we'll see
good lord it's hot here. i got out of class and it was 88 out and when i left work at 2300, it was 78 out. tomorrow they are expecting it to be in the 90s which sucks ass because there is the hint of humidity which makes it that much worse.
so after work tomorrow, i have to rush home, iron, and get all jazzed up for formal. Tomorrow night, the Gentlemen of Phi Delta Theta will have formal '06. This year's theme, Luck 7s, is slick and pimptastic. But im pretty excited. There will be a lot of Alum's who will come party with the new guys as well as the pledges.
we'll im off to bed. i hope EVERYONE is doing well. Sometimes, i randomly remember someone from the good ole days and i just laugh. those were good times, sometimes i yearn for. the simplicities of the past, pale in comparison to the lifestyle of today. however independent and mature we have come to be, sometimes the days of NHS are just memories longing to be relived. even if for a quick moment. just to remember.
