The Vet Hospital wants to write up a case study on Pyxis' bufo toad fiasco. It may get published in a veterinary publication.

Bill dropped Nero off at the doctors today for his knee surgery. The are going to call us once it is over, probably late this afternoon or early evening. Pooooor puppy....

EDIT: Vet just called, Nero is doing fine. He had a torn posterior cruciate ligament with A LOT of inflammation in the joint. Sutures were added to stabilize the joint and some ( Read more... )

Good news... biopsy came back non-cancerous. He's still limping (especially on his back leg) so the doctor said we will prolly have to run more tests and that his problems may still be caused by cancer. But, this is good news and I am relieved.

On Wednesday we took Nero to an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Hay. This was the fourth vet he has been to, the first three could not tell us why he was limping, unfortunately this vet figured out why. Within a few minutes of examining Nero, Dr. Hay found a spot under Nero's armpit that was sensitive (something no one else had been able to do). After that ( Read more... )
