Thursday had two #happythings, both like Wednesday's river-related (I do seem to spend an awful lot of my life, especially since we moved house, either running or cycling along one particular stretch of the Thames towpath, but I'm certainly not complaining!)
In the morning, I went for an early run and saw a heron coming in to land. They always manage to be so graceful despite looking on the face of it very ungainly - great dangling legs and huge wings. I thought he was going to land on the water, but he had obviously spotted a place in the shallows he could stand on, and hit it very neatly :-)
Then in the evening I cycled back from bellringing practice - the river was like glass, and the sun was setting like this...
... and it was really lovely. So peaceful. (Could have done without the midges though...)
