Yesterday's #happything was a meal out with my lovely work colleagues. (Several years ago we started having our small site library staff's "Christmas" meal out in January or even, as in this case, February; instead of having to struggle with all the other work Christmas dinners to book in the run-up to Christmas and eat yet another turkey dinner, when everybody is stressed and busy, we put it off till January when we all need something to look forward to!)
We went for something different and tried Korean food, which most of us hadn't eaten before, at a popular local Korean restaurant. We all tried the kimchi, though I think that might be a bit of an acquired taste! I enjoyed the pickled cucumber salad, though, which was more mildly spicy, and four of us shared a very tasty stew including beef, tofu and lots of vegetables, which was incredibly fresh given that it was cooked at our table on a mini gas stove :-)
But most of all I enjoyed the company - I was still a bit sneezy, but feeling better enough to be determined to go, and had a really good sociable evening.
