So basically I've lost track of why I use this thing, outside of keeping up with certain friends/communities, but for old time's sake, here's an actual post of some sort.
My schedule for this semester:
Audio Techniques 1 (covers live sound engineering and some recording as well)
MW 10:00am - 10:50am
Stellar Astronomy (again, because I got a D last time out of carelessness)
MWF 3:00pm - 3:50pm
Human Biology
MWF 4:00pm - 4:50pm
Fundamentals of Music Theory
W 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Human Biology Lab
Th 2:00pm - 4:45pm
Still haven't auditioned for the school of music because apparently I need some sightreading ability, which I currently have pretty much none of. I'm hoping the combination of my theory class and a guitar sightreading book will be enough to put me up to speed because the alternative they gave me is insane (they told me I could go to community college for 2 years and THEN start on a 4 year degree, and considering I've already been there for about 3 years, thats retarded). As a result of that, I'm considering the possibility of another major, and I'm pretty clueless as to what I choices I could make. I've been told I should try something in english/creative writing/journalism but that's not something I could really see myself doing and enjoying.
As far as music is going, no real prospects for the band outside of an offer to merge bands with a keyboardist, guitarist, and vocalist. Problem is that the vocalist is a female and only knows clean vocals, so we're likely going to have to work something out with her. Otherwise, it could work pretty nicely, but my hopes aren't up just yet. Finished the revisions of 2 songs on the myspace (both are up), and I have another revision, plus 2 new songs to do... whenever I get the inspiration to do so, I guess.
Way too much gaming going on considering time constraints. Been playing some Tekken and Puzzle Fighter online. Recently used the pandora battery trick on as of then unhacked white PSP, and downgraded it for shits and giggles (in the time I'd been out of the loop, the emulation scene got a whole lot better <3). Thanks to Jon, we've completed the triad of next gen (although Microsoft refuses to fix my busted 360 dvd drive, claming that I've tampered with it when I haven't, so they can eat a dick), so there's much fun to be had soon. In the event anyone is interested, I'll post all my online console shit here and we could get some games in or whatever.
Still working at the bookstore for some reason (it's been a year, and I guess I just got comfortable with it at some point), and I'm wanting to quit so I can have more time for other things. Money isn't a huge problem (financial aid and death benefits from my dad have that covered), although I'd like to build up the money I lost from buying books for this semester (somewhere around $400, even with the discount), so yeah.
Jon's been up in Ohio for the past month or so, and naturally I really want him back. :(
Not a lot else going on, outside of some drama that isn't really my problem anyway.
