Movie Night!! And other Ramblings...

I just got back from seeing RENT (the movie, not the play)... And it was amazing. It's much more a sad, depressing story than a light, happy one, but it's perfect if you want to see something you need to think about afterward. I'd recommend it to anyone who has an open mind (fairly important, since AIDS is a big issue, as is homosexuality), likes musicals, or even doesn't care for musicals. I have never been a big fan of musicals (plays or movies) but RENT is really different.

The next movie on my list to see is The Producers, when it comes out this month. It looks like a lot of strange humor and just fun in general.

I'm hoping to have time this month to rewatch Return of the King, because I haven't seen it since it went out of theaters (and that's a long time!)...It's just hard to find that ideal 4-hour block of time to watch it. I need my daily dose of Merry and Pippin...They're so cute ;)

I did get one piece of sad news: The student council scheduled a dance on one of the nights that my drama club is presenting Little Women. This is both sad for me because I won't be able to go to the dance (and maybe see "Mr. Dance Partner") and sad for the play because all the students will go to the dance, not to the play. Wish they could reschedule the dance.

This week has been really stressful. I realized on the 29th that I had read the deadline for application to my #1 school wrong and that I had to apply for December 1 instead of Jan.1. Big oops. So I rushed off an application in two days (using the really annoying method of applying online with the common app). AAAA! It was so scary, and I don't think my application came out as well as I had hoped. So now I'm worrying about that...What if nowhere accepts me?
